Reggie's Agent "Did we say $54M? We meant $56M"
Saints "Doh!"

Seriously, he needs to get his butt into camp, no NFL rookie ever does well after a long hold out. Reggie is great but don't hold out...Thoughts?

His head is getting big unfortunately. I understand the shelf life of players but how much more money do you need up front. Get a little in options for good performance and help a team get to the playoffs.

For some reason, it seems that this year is huge with hold outs. As an owner I would have a problem taken the huge risk with that amount of money. But I guess that is how professional sports go.

Apparently he has reached a deal: $51 million contract that included $26.35 million worth of garunteed money.

I personally think he was worth whatever he was asking for. Regardless of how good he does on the field, the hype around this guy is worth it for a region that has just been decimated in the last year.

Yeah but what a disappointment if he doesn't give the fans what they are expecting. I mean his first year/season should be an introductory one, but with that kind of money they are paying him, I would be expecting big things right from the get go.
